Former President Donald TRUMP issued a stark warning on his Truth Social platform, claiming that ending his tariff policies could jeopardize a record $15 trillion in U.S. investments. The statement came in response to a U.S. Court of Appeals ruling that found Trump overstepped his authority by using the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to impose tariffs.
"More than 15 Trillion Dollars will be invested in the USA, a RECORD. Much of this investment is because of Tariffs," Trump wrote. He argued that overturning the tariffs WOULD cancel these investments and risk reducing the U.S. to "a Third World Nation." The court's decision challenges tariffs affecting major trade partners, including Canada and China.
